MoU Partner AIDSMO Helps Celebrate ASTM's 125th Anniversary
On March 15, at the 58th meeting of the Arab High Committee for Standardization in Morocco, ASTM's James Olshefsky, director of external relations, spoke to distinguished members of AIDSMO along with a gathering of standards development professionals from across the globe. At the event, H.E. Eng. Adel Saqer Al-Saqer, the head of AIDSMO, presented Olshefsky with a gift, along with a cake, to help celebrate ASTM's 125th anniversary.

Two proposed standards are devoted to different aspects of water quality. The first will provide a screening method to assess contaminants in water samples prior to a more detailed analysis. The second will help to assess the potential for bioavailable aluminum in water samples to be toxic to aquatic life [More].

ASTM Staff Attend United Nations Water Conference
ASTM International’s Teresa J. Cendrowska, vice president of Global Cooperation, and Emmanuel Escoto, manager of Global Outreach and Engagement, recently attended the United Nations Water Conference 2023 where ASTM submitted comments on the role of standards and its global partnerships in advancing SDG6 on Clean Water and Sanitation.
