New Smart Manufacturing Activities

A new campaign strengthens ASTM's commitment to serving as the global leader in smart manufacturing standards. Approximately 5,300 experts and 1,500 companies from 65 countries are already involved in creating ASTM standards that support additive manufacturing, pharmaceutical manufacturing, biotechnology, nanotechnology, automation technology and related fields. Submit a paper to our new journal, Smart and Sustainable Manufacturing Systems, and make sure to read the latest special issue of Standardization News magazine, with lots of smart manufacturing content.

New Standards Activity - Human Resource Management

At the request of the Society for Human Resource Management, ASTM will host an organizational meeting on Dec. 14 to explore standards development in human resource management. The meeting's purpose will be to chart a potential path toward a standardization program in this area. All interested parties are welcome to attend. Register here. More

ASTM Training Program Awarded New Accreditation

ASTM has been awarded the prestigious Accredited Provider status by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET). Accredited Providers are the only organizations approved to offer IACET Continuing Education Units (CEUs). The accreditation confirms ASTM's role in offering the highest quality continuing education and training programs in areas like petroleum, the environment and construction. Come See ASTM at Greenbuild in Washington

ASTM will have a strong presence at the Greenbuild International Conference and Expo. Known as the premier event for sustainable building, the conference takes place Nov. 17-19 in Washington, D.C. In addition to our two display booths, ASTM and the International Code Council will host officials from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Standardization Organization (GSO). GSO includes the national standards bodies of Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Yemen. Engineering Students - Apply Now for WISE Internship

ASTM sponsors an intern in the Washington Internships for Students of Engineering program, a nine-week summer session in Washington, D.C., for undergraduate engineering students. Ranked as one of the best internship opportunities in the U.S. by the Princeton Review, it allows students to learn how engineers can contribute to legislative and public policy decisions.
