New Committee - Human Resource Management
The ASTM board of directors has formally approved the creation of Committee E63 on Human Resource Management. The new committee brings together leaders in the HR field to contribute their expertise from areas such as compensation and benefits, employee relations, workforce planning, diversity and inclusion, training, performance management, and more. The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), which previously led standardization efforts in this field, will also participate. More

Students - Apply for the ASTM Graduate Scholarship
Applications for the ASTM Graduate Scholarship are due April 30. The scholarship rewards students who have demonstrated high levels of interest in or involvement with ASTM standards. As many as four graduate students will receive up to $10,000 for educational expenses.

GLOBAL NOTES
New MOU with Gambia
ASTM signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Gambia Standards Bureau in January. Through MOU agreements, global national standards bodies reference, adopt, or use ASTM standards as the basis of their national standards. This most recent signing brings the total number of MOU partnerships to 95.
